“I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, ‘Take it and eat it; it will turn sour in your stomach, but in your mouth, it will be sweet as honey’” (Revelation 10:9 GNB).

Religion? No. It’s reality, and we aren’t partisan; we’re inclusive all the way.

I’m thoroughly excited to call our music “Sweet ‘N’ Sour.” Never heard of it? It’s different in substance though not in form. Here’s what it’s all about.

It’s about the real challenges of this world while in actual contact and communion with the next. Sweet and sour. That essentially says it all, but more specifically…

The truth and reality of this music, including lyrics, tunes, and expression styles are to reconcile two worlds, taking us from evil and chaos on the one hand to good and order on the other. Sour to sweet.

The music is at once sacred and secular. Sweet and sour. It will raise one from the terrible sourness of death to sweetness of life, from darkness to light.

This music will inject bitter reality into a sweet, unreal world and turn it to sweet reality.

I found this quote in Dauphin Valley Spans the Years, Dauphin Historical Society, July 1970:

“Make no little plans, they have no magic to stir men’s blood and will not be realized. Make big plans, aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble and logical plan will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing.”

This is so appropriate to our music adventure and desire.
